YOSI….   This is one of the cases presented to us during our seminar with Dr. Socrates. This person living in Coral Island, Roxas, Palawan suffers from a disease called Nicotine-Induced Atherosclerosis. He acquired this disease because of cigarette smoking.

In the photos above, you can see what can you get when you smoke. This is not photoshopped or edited to scare smokers. He is a living example who was treated by Dr. Socrates.
Cigarette chemicals not only go to your lungs but also circulate in your body through your blood vessels. Little by little, these chemicals deposit in your blood vessels’ wall until they impede the circulation in the area of your body. The oxygen supply in the affected area will decrease leading to cell death and decay.
There are some philosophers out there saying “Second hand smoking is more dangerous than first hand smoking so it’s better to do smoking” But, I quote what my teacher told us during or NLE review before: “Bakit kapag naninigarilyo kaba, di mo nasisinghot ang binubuga mong usok?” so, smokers both receive first hand and second hand smoke.
The pathetic islander got the disease because he didn’t know the danger of cigarette and he didn’t know that the cause of his disease is cigarette. However, after knowing the cause of his disease, he quite smoking. Without any withdrawal relief such as nicotine gums and etc, he successfully quite smoking. This proved that people can quite smoking if they are very determined. Before, my father also quite smoking without using nicotine gums.
Having the nicotine-induced disease is clearly not his choice. But, for those people WHO KNOW the risk of cigarette smoking and still continue their vice, it’s their choice if they got it later in life.

I’m attending the “Ortopediks sa Tahanan at Barangay” until Thursday, and I’m really enjoying it.  There are many things I’ve learned that I think will be useful to help the community. You can see my batch mate Aileen on the right side while you can see the BAHATALA physical therapist on the left side.

Netizens fall for satirical ‘Anti-Angry Birds Bill’
News on the so-called “Anti-Angry Birds Bill” is going viral on social networking sites after the satirical website “So, What’s News?” posted a story on this last Friday. The bill was supposedly filed by Quezon City Rep. Winston Castelo, who earlier filed a bill against planking during street protests.
The satire said Castelo got the idea for the bill when he went Christmas shopping the other day at a mall. “Everywhere I looked, ‘Angry Birds’ this, ‘Angry Birds’ that! Where is the product diversity? Shouldn’t the DTI be monitoring this?” the representative supposedly said.

Search for Supsup Candy

Do you still remember the day that I went to PPPES (Puerto Princesa Pilot Elementary School) because of YAMAHA? In that afternoon, while waiting for the “PAMPASADA” wallet to be given, I walked around the school to take some pictures. My mind during that time was bombarded with flashbacks of my childhood. Flashbacks that I will gladly share to you all, but for now I want to share my precious memory about this kiddie candy.

When I was still in grade 3, there was a popular candy which we really loved. I cannot recall the name of the candy by now so I will name it supsup candy (in memory of shamcey LOL). It contains kyamoy and it is supported by a fancy flower-like plastic ring.

The kyamoy of course taste sour while the transparent candy taste sweet. The plastic ring looks so gay but there’s no such concept when I was still on grade 3. All the boys and the girls love that supsup candy. I think the last time I saw that candy is when I’m still in grade 4 or 5. Just for fun, I searched if it still available in the market. However, I found nothing in the five grocery stores in town. I even went again to the stores in front of the school but they’re not familiar on it.

Back to nostalgia, our teacher in one of our subjects was absent that time so we decided to buy the fantastic supsup candy. The traffic enforcer assigned in that road guards the entrance gate and does not allow pupils to cross the road during class hours. So, my classmates and I made our body fit in the small opening on the grills then played patintenro with the vehicles just to enjoy the luscious supsup candy. Our mouth that time were too small to keep the candy on our mouth so we just licked and sucked that candy to enjoy its taste. HAHAHA

Even if I can’t find the supsup candy anymore, the happy memory it brought on me will be forever cherished. Anyway I can suck and lick boobies by now.

Yummy Coffee

While browsing my news feeds in Facebook, I learned from my friend, who is living in USA, that Americans celebrate the National Coffee Day today. Some companies give free coffees while some coffee shops give a big discount on it. Coffee indeed play a big role in the lives of Americans because they even gave it a special day, and it’s no wonder because coffee like cola is addictive.

Coffee contains an addictive substance caffeine which is a stimulant and an antioxidant. As a stimulant, it helps people to stay alert, happy and active. However, it also increases the blood pressure which is dangerous for people with hypertension or people with family history of hypertension. Tolerance can also developed when you consume it regularly; making people take more coffee than before to experience the desired effect. As an antioxidant, it helps protect the cells from damage caused by free radicals, thus preventing cancer and early aging.

Well, I tried drinking coffee before and I don’t like it because of the bitter taste and the palpitation I experienced after. Since then, I don’t have any interest in drinking coffee until I tried the Nescafe 3-in-1 Brown ‘N Creamy.

It really taste good! It’s like I’m drinking my favorite X.O. candy.

Yesterday was my second time to drink a cup of this coffee; the first time was maybe last month (I forgot). Although I felt a little discomfort (dry mouth and dry throat), I still enjoyed it, and I hope I will not be addicted to this coffee. T_T

Should I hate Nescafe for formulating this Yummy Coffee? *kidding

Note: I’m not paid by Nescafe for posting this. Hehe
